So, here are some basic steps to building a skincare routine
Step 1 – Cleansing
Simply put, a good cleansing product will rid your skin of dirt, makeup and impurities, leaving behind skin that is squeaky clean. Try an oil-based cleanser to break down sebum and dirt that’s lodged deep in your pores. Repeat with a water-based cleanser to remove all residue. The important thing is to make sure that your cleanser isn’t too harsh. If it makes your skin stretchy and dry after washing, you probably need a gentler product.
You only need to double cleanse if you wear a lot of makeup or if you have extremely oily skin. You may simply use a gentle cleanser of your choice for daily use. Save the double cleansing for days where your skin really needs it!
Step 2 – Exfoliate
Exfoliation helps get rid of any dead skin cell buildup and any other grime particles that cleansing may have missed. It also helps boost blood circulation and smoothen the skin texture.
