We know it’s easy to get caught up in day-to-day activities and forget to take care of yourself. In fact, in this hustle culture, we may even take pride in working long hours and weekends. But what we don’t realise is how harmful that can be in the long run.
There will come a tipping point where stress will build up; burnout will creep in. This is where self-care comes in. Well, ideally it comes in long before that, but better late than never! So this Monday, set the tone for the week by giving yourself the attention you deserve.
It doesn’t matter if you are a working individual or if you’re a homemaker – we all deserve self-care. Self-care isn’t one size fit all. It looks different for everyone. For example, I like to paint to de-stress, but for an artist, it may be a source of stress.
There are some things you can do to take care of yourself, and build your schedule around it.
Now, here are some activities that are inherently relaxing. So, you can pick the ones that work for you, and do them when you need a little break.
Remember, you are more important than your to-do list. So, prioritize your well-being above work or anything else that might hinder your mental peace!
