10-Minute Makeup Look To Glam Up Your Festive Outfit

If you are festival fanatics like us, you’d agree that 2020 was not a good year to glam up. Virtual rave was the new normal in front of the camera for family reunions or spending a party night with friends overcall. But, with vaccinations and definitely, precautions, the elaborate lehengas, unique saris, and gorgeous festive makeup is back with a bang.

With Diwali, weddings and other jazz up days knocking at your door, it’s inevitable to be a little horrified by the OTT festival makeup. Amidst planning your outfit, buying gorgeous jewellery and decorating your place, you get a little time to create a traditional look you feel comfortable in.

Don’t panic just yet. We’ve got you covered!

This 10-minute festive makeup look will match your dramatic festival ensemble and give you a dewy, radiant skin perfect for a red carpet appearance.

Set up your base

Prepping your skin is the most essential step of any makeup routine. Mix an essential oil to your everyday primer or directly apply Aquaholic Priming Moisturizer that sinks quickly into the skin and provides instant hydration and glow without making it greasy. Then, use a primer like The Most Eligible Smoothing Primer, which creates a smooth canvas for your makeup and blurs out your pores, wrinkles and fine lines. You can top it up with a spritz of Grand Finale Dewy Setting Mist to get that all-time fresh glow.

Once your skin is all soft and pore-free, hop on to your favourite liquid foundation and buff it with a blender. Use a lightweight and creamy formula like Ace Of Face Foundation that provides full coverage and is super easy to blend. Now it’s time to conceal the dark eyes. There’s no denying that colour correctors are the ultimate makeup saviour. Use the corrector depending on your skin problem and blend it well. The SUGAR Face Fwd >> Corrector Stick fights off dark circles, pigmentation, scars and redness. Top this off with a full coverage concealer like the Magic Wand Waterproof Concealer that comes with 8-hour lasting energy and a thin tip for spot application. Don’t forget to set your face for an all-night glam look. Use Powder Play Banana Compact to reduce shine and add a warm highlight to your face.

Add definition to your cheekbones

It’s time to add some subtle colour and dimension to your face. Cheat the chiselled look by sucking in your cheeks and swiping a creamy contour like Face Fwd >> Contour Stick onto the cheekbones, hairline, nose and temples and blend it well. Add a flush of colour and a little glam to your high points with a highly pigmented blush and highlighter. Use all in one Wonder Woman Mixed Palette to complete your face look.

Glam up your eyes

Use a hydrating eye cream and conceal the upper lids to make the eyeshadow pop. Use a warm-toned nude and swirl it on the lids with a light hand. Add in some rustic gold eyeshadow like in the SUGAR Blend The Rules Eyeshadow Palette onto the centre of your lids. Use a kajal on the inner waterline and smudge it outwards. If you need, tight line the upper waterline too with a similar pencil. Add an extra twist to your eyes with Kohl Of Honour Intense Kajal that comes in 6 different hues that’ll rock your festive makeup look. Apply loads of mascara to uplift your lashes. Try a waterproof, cry-proof formula like Lash Of The Titans Volumizing Mascara that’ll give you thicker, fuller and amplified lashes with one swipe.

Perfect your pout

After prepping your lips with a hydrating lip balm, line the perimeter of your pout to get a fuller and defined rim. Use a highly pigmented liner like Lipping On The Edge Lip Liner that’ll give you a puckered pout. Paint your luscious lips with matching lipstick to get that Instagram worthy look. Use a kiss-proof lipstick like Wonder Woman 24 HR Lip Lacquer that won’t smudge or budge even if you’d want.
